My photography is rooted in candid reportage, with a subtle touch of editorial style inspired by fashion photography. I quietly document the day as it unfolds—intentionally and honestly—capturing both the refined, elegant details and the beautifully imperfect moments that make your day truly yours. I deliver a rich, full gallery because your wedding isn’t just about the highlights. It’s about the whole experience—from the quiet nerves to the wild dance floor. If you're a couple who values authenticity, artistry, and storytelling that reflects the real spirit of your day, I might be the right photographer for you.
The Etos:
Your wedding day is not a photoshoot—it's an intimate celebration of your love, shared with the people closest to you. As a wedding photographer, my role is to honour that. I believe in putting my couples first, always. That means no unnecessary interruptions, no prioritising behind-the-scenes content or social media trends, and no sharing of private moments without consent. Whether you're planning a grand celebration or an intimate elopement, I approach every wedding with deep respect for your story, your space, and your trust.
What I Offer:
Whether you're planning an adventurous elopement in the Scottish Highlands, a city celebration in Glasgow or Edinburgh, or a full-scale destination wedding abroad, I offer photography that’s tailored to your story. I document full-day weddings, intimate elopements, multi-day celebrations, and hourly coverage for smaller gatherings. For eloping couples, I go beyond the lens—sharing location ideas, trusted local vendors, and helping shape a day that’s truly personal. From mountaintop vows to elegant Edinburgh city ceremonies, I’ll be there with you, quietly capturing every honest moment.
I also photograph engagement sessions and couple shoots for those wanting to mark a milestone or simply celebrate love in everyday life. My background in commercial, product, and fashion photography brings precision to detail shots and an editorial edge to your portraits—especially if you’re aiming for a more refined, luxurious look. For brides needing a bit of guidance, I offer optional styling help, from accessories to creative direction, ensuring you feel confident and fully yourself in front of the camera.
Working Together:
I care deeply about creating a calm, trusting space for you to be yourselves — because that’s where the magic happens. Here’s what it looks like when we work together:
The Booking Process
When you get in touch, I’ll ask a few questions about your plans and send you a full wedding gallery similar to what you’re envisioning. You’ll be able to see exactly how a full day unfolds through my lens.
Before you commit to anything, we can meet for a coffee or chat on a call — I believe a good personality match is just as important as the photos themselves.
Coverage Options
For full-day bookings, I usually start about two hours before the ceremony and stay into the dancefloor mayhem — capturing not just the big moments but the feeling of the whole day.
Prefer a more flexible approach? Hourly bookings are available and include exactly what matters most to you.
Working Style
I’m used to working with people who feel camera shy — honestly, most of us do. Even my styled shoots feature real couples or friends, not models. If you trust me, I’ll guide you through it gently and help you feel relaxed and seen.
On the day, I work efficiently — if I get 10 minutes for portraits, I’ll make it work. If I get more time, even better. My job is to stay present, not intrusive, and to honour the flow of your celebration.
Extras & Add-ons
You’ll get one roll of 35mm film included with every full-day booking. If I have a second shooter and the freedom to play, I’m happy to shoot more film — but never at the expense of missing moments on digital.
I can also bring on a second photographer if needed, and I work closely with some brilliant suppliers I’m always happy to recommend.
FAQs:
Do you travel for weddings?
Yes! I photograph weddings all over Scotland, across Europe, and beyond. Travel and accommodation fees may apply depending on the distance.
How long does it take to get our photos?
I deliver your full gallery within three months — often sooner.
Do you offer albums or prints?
Absolutely. I usually recommend coming back to that conversation after the wedding when things have settled and your budget can breathe a bit.
Can you help with timeline planning?
Yes — I’ll help make sure the photography fits into your day smoothly. I’m mindful of staying within your chosen coverage time and still getting the most from every moment.
We’re awkward in front of the camera. Help?
You’re not alone. I’ll help you feel at ease and capture you as you are — honest and beautiful.
Do you shoot film as well as digital?
Yes! I include one roll of 35mm film with full-day coverage. If the conditions are right, and I have support from a second shooter, I’ll happily shoot more.
What’s your payment schedule?
A 10% deposit is due within 7 days of booking. The remaining balance is due a week before your wedding.
What happens if you can’t make it?
In the unlikely event I can’t be there, I have a trusted network of photographers who could step in. You’ll always have options: transfer your booking to someone you’re happy with, request a refund, or choose to have my associate shoot and I’ll still edit the gallery to maintain consistency.
How many images will we receive?
A full-day wedding usually results in over 1000 carefully edited images.
Can we meet before the wedding?
Yes, absolutely. We can chat before booking or closer to the big day — whichever feels right. Getting to know each other helps me tell your story with honesty and intention.
Beyond Weddings:
Outside of weddings, I work with brands and creatives on commercial, product, and fashion photography. My editorial work—rooted in storytelling, aesthetic detail, and thoughtful composition—has been shaped by years of working with designers, makers, and magazines. This experience not only sharpens my eye for the details on a wedding day, but also gives me the flexibility to shoot for both emotion and elegance. Whether it's a lookbook, campaign, or styled shoot, I collaborate closely with clients to create imagery that feels authentic and refined. If you’re a brand in need of high-quality visual storytelling—whether based in Scotland, London, or abroad—I’d love to hear from you.
Client Reviews:
Sarah & Tom, Glasgow City Wedding
“Lena captured our Edinburgh elopement with such honesty and care—it truly felt like having a friend behind the lens. Her candid photography style meant we could be fully present, knowing she’d catch every little glance and laugh without turning the day into a photoshoot. From the windswept Scottish hills to our quiet city vows, Lena told our story beautifully. We were looking for an editorial yet relaxed feel, and she delivered exactly that. If you’re planning a wedding or elopement in Scotland—or even abroad—Lena is everything you want in a photographer: discreet, creative, and deeply respectful.”
Emily & Jack, Edinburgh Elopement
Emily & Jsson, Tuscany, Italy Elopment
Unable to find a local photographer we loved, we flew Lena out to Italy to join us on our relaxed and intimate elopement. MOH absolutely hates having his pictures taken but her discreet documentary style approach made us both feel at ease, she even managed to get 1 or 2 photos of him actually smiling! Everyone said the pics looked like something out of a magazine and narrowing down the ones to print is the hardest part. Thanks Lena
Isabella & Edward, Scottish Highlands Luxury Wedding
"Lena and her team were an absolute dream to work with for our castle wedding in the Scottish Highlands. With over 200 guests, we knew we needed a photographer who could capture the scale of our celebration without missing the intimate moments. Lena’s approach was perfect—her candid style told the full story of our day, from the grand luxury ceremony in the castle to the heartfelt moments shared with family and friends. Having Lena's partner as a second shooter was a game-changer, allowing us to get both wide-angle shots of the venue and close-ups of the emotional reactions happening all around. They were incredibly professional and unobtrusive, which allowed us to enjoy our day without feeling like we were constantly in front of the camera. If you're planning a large wedding or a luxurious event in the Scottish Highlands, Lena is the photographer you need to capture the magic."
"We couldn't have asked for a better wedding photography experience in Glasgow! Lena was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Her candid, documentary style was exactly what we were looking for—capturing real moments without any forced poses. We also had her partner as a second shooter, and they worked so seamlessly together. It felt like we had a team that truly understood what we wanted. They were both incredibly helpful, making sure we were relaxed and enjoying our day while still capturing every perfect detail. If you're looking for a Glasgow wedding photographer who is professional, creative, and makes you feel at ease, Lena is the one!"
